#21 UMW Volleyball Sweeps Catholic, 3-0, on Wednesday Night in D.C.

The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a 3-0 decision at Catholic University on Wednesday night in Washington, D.C. Game scores were 25-8, 25-20, 25-21; the Eagles improve to 7-0 on the season.

The Eagles were extremely efficient offensively, committing just 14 errors in the match, despite a one week layoff, and hit .302 for the night with 43 kills.

The balanced attack saw junior Rachel Hendricks and freshman Savannah Powers each record nine kills, while freshman Peyton Dunow added eight. Senior setter Emma Olson had 29 assists, three aces, and eight digs, while Dunow led with 11 digs, and Powers added six.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they visit the Emory University Invitational, facing Emory at 5 p.m. and Maryville (Tenn.) at 7:30.
