UMW Volleyball Tops Wesley, 3-0, to Improve to 4-2 in CAC Action

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a 3-0 decision from Wesley College on Wednesday night at the Anderson Center to improve to 4-2 in Capital Athletic Conference action, and 19-9 overall. Set scores were 25-15, 25-19, 25-14.

Freshmen Kyla Foss and Dani Fiore led the Eagles with 10 kills apiece, with Foss adding six digs, two solo blocks, and three aces. Sophomore Emma Olson had 20 assists and seven digs, and Jenna Yost added 13 digs.

Jenifer Grove had 15 assists and four aces for UMW. The Eagles hit .386 as a team for the evening.

Mary Washington will be back in action on Saturday when they host Penn State Harrisburg at 1 pm and Virginia Wesleyan at 5 pm.
