UMW Volleyball Falls at Catholic on Tuesday Night, 3-1

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a four set match to Catholic University on Tuesday night in Washington, D.C. The Eagles fall to 12-6 on the season.

Set scores were 21-25, 25-22, 29-27, 25-18. The Eagles were able to take the first set, and challenged the Cardinals all the way to 29-27 in the third, but were unable to catch a second set.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Kelsey Stanbro, who had 13 kills and eight digs, and freshman Rachel Hendricks, who added 11 kills and nine digs. Emma Murphy contributed 10 kills, while Jenifer Grove had 20 assists and Megan Payne 14.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday night when they host nationally ranked Juniata College at 7:00 p.m.
