The University of Mary Washington volleyball team snapped a two-match losing skid with a 3-2 victory over Averett University on Saturday in the Eagles' final match at the UMW Invitational. The Eagles improve to 7-2 on the season.

The Eagles won the first set, 25-17, but dropped the second, 25-13. UMW won set three 25-15, dropped the fourth game, 25-27, and won the fifth, 15-12.

Freshman Rachel Hendricks led UMW with 16 kills, two aces, and three digs, while Kyla Foss had 12 kills and 14 digs. Dani Fiore had 11 kills, while Emma Murphy added 10 kills. Emma Olson had 27 assists and Jenifer Grove added 22. Caroline Porco had 19 digs and Jenna Yost had 14 for the Eagles.

Mary Washington will visit North Carolina Wesleyan College on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
