UMW Volleyball Sweeps City College of New York, 3-0

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team improved to 7-1 on the season with a 3-0 win over City College of New York on Friday night at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational in Annville, Pa. Set scores were 25-15, 25-17, 25-9.

The Eagles were led by Ellen Smethurst's nine kills, Tola Adebanjo's eight kills, and Laura Gomez's seven kills. Kaitlynn Wickersham had three aces and 12 digs, while Emily Shea had three aces as well.

Mary Washington will continue at the tournament on Saturday morning.
