The University of Mary Washington volleyball team scored a 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference victory at Wesley College on Wednesday night in Dover, Del. Set scores were 25-15, 25-22, 25-19, as the Eagles improve to 6-1 on the season.
For the Eagles, Emily Shea (Chesapeake, Va., Hickory) had three service aces, Laura Gomez (Charlottesville, Va., Albemarle) had seven kills, Ellen Smethurst (Charlottesville, Va., Covenant School) added five kills, and Katie Shiflett (Weyers Cave, Va., Fort Defiance) had 28 assists.
Mary Washington will continue play at the Lebanon Valley Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
