UMW Women's Tennis Blanks Wilkes, 5-0, in NCAA Tournament 2nd Round

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept a 5-0 decision from Wilkes University on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament in Rocky Mount, N.C. The Eagles, 13-2 on the season, will face either North Carolina Wesleyan or Carnegie Mellon on Sunday in third round action.

In doubles, UMW's Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn were victorious at one, 8-0, and Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino also won at two, 8-0. Hana Kimmey and Rachel Cooper won at three, 8-1, to put the Eagles two points from victory as singles started.

 In singles, Quinn took a 6-0, 6-0 victory at three, and Hagino won 6-1, 6-0, at four.
