UMW Women's Tennis Blanks Southern Va., 5-0, in C2C Semifinal

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Southern Virginia University, 5-0, on Friday night in the semifinal of the Coast 2 Coast Athletic Conference tournament at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 11-2 on the season.

The Eagles swept the doubles, as Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn were victorious at one, 8-2, Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino won at two, 8-0, and Hana Kimmey and Olivia Moore won at three, 8-0.

In singles, Rachel Cooper won at five singles, 6-0, 6-0, and Hagino won at three singles, 6-0, 6-1, for the clinching point.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newport University on Saturday at 3:00 pm for the conference title.
