UMW Women's Tennis Falls at Division I Towson, 7-0, on Monday

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Division I Towson University on Monday afternoon. The Eagles slip to 6-2 on the season, and 1-2 against Division I competition.

In doubles, UMW's Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn fell at one, 6-1. Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino fell at two, 6-3, and Hana Kimmey and Olivia Moore fell at three, 6-4.

Singles saw Moghtader fall at one, 7-6, 6-3, Coleman fall at two, 6-1, 6-2, and Quinn drop a superbreaker at three, 6-4, 6-7, 10-6. Hagino dropped her match at four, 6-1, 6-2, Kimmey fell in a breaker, 7-5, 2-6, 10-7 at five, and Rachel Cooper fell in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.

The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday at St. Mary's College at 3:30 p.m.
