The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Division I Longwood University, 5-2, on Saturday in Farmville, Va. The Eagles improve to 5-1 on the season.
The Eagles gained the doubles point by winning all three slots. Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn were victorious at one, 8-3, and Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino won at two, 8-4. Hana Kimmey and Olivia Moore won at three, 8-1.
In singles, Quinn won at three, 6-3, 6-3, and Hagino won at four, 7-5, 6-3. Kimmey was victorious at five, 6-4, 6-2, and Rachel Cooper won at six, 7-5, 7-6 (5).
UMW will return to action on April 7 when they host Southern Virginia University at 4 p.m.
