#13 UMW Women's Tennis Sweeps Salisbury, 9-0, on Saturday

The 13th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Salisbury University, 9-0, on Saturday in Capital Athletic Conference action at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 16-4 on the season, and 7-0 in league play.

UMW took the three doubles matches, with Rachel Summers and Lauren Quinn winning at one, 8-5, and Claire Coleman and Danielle Mirabella winning at two, 8-2, with Sophie Dixon and Olivia Moore winning at three, 8-2.

In singles, Summers won at one, 6-3, 6-3; Coleman won at two, 6-3, 7-5; and Quinn won at three, 6-2, 6-1. Mirabella won at four, 6-1, 6-0; Dixon won at five, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8; and Rachel Cooper won at six, 6-0, 6-1.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday when they host St. Mary's College in the first round of the CAC Tournament.
