#12 UMW Women's Tennis Blanks York, Harrisburg in CAC Matches on Friday

The 12th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team blanked Capital Athletic Conference opponents York College and Penn State Harrisburg on Friday on the road in Pennsylvania, winning each match by a 6-0 score. The Eagles improve to 14-2 overall, and run their season win streak to eight straight.

In the win over York, the Eagles swept all six singles matches, with Rachel Summers winning at one, 6-3, 6-0; Claire Coleman winning at two, 6-1, 6-0; and Danielle Mirabella claiming a win at three, 6-0, 6-0. Sophie Dixon won at four, 6-1, 6-0, Olivia Moore won at five, 6-0, 6-0, and Emily Bowerman won at six, 6-2, 6-2.

The victory over Harrisburg saw Summers win at one, 6-0, 7-5; Lauren Quinn winning at two, 6-0, 6-0; Mirabella winning at three, 6-0, 6-0; Rachel Cooper winning at four, 6-1, 6-0; Moore winning at five, 6-0, 6-0; and Bowerman winning at six, 6-0, 6-0.

The Eagles will visit Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday at 10 a.m.
