The 17th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated the University of Redlands, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 4-0 on the season.
The Eagles took a big step toward victory with a sweep of the doubles action. Rachel Summers and Lauren Quinn won at one, 8-6, after Danielle Mirabella and Claire Coleman won at two, 8-2, and Olivia Moore and Sophie Dixon won at three, 8-6.
In singles, the Eagles gained wins from Summers at one, 6-3, 6-2, Quinn at three, 6-4, 6-4, and Mirabella at four, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
The Eagles will wrap up their California trip at Caltech on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
