UMW Women's Tennis Ranks 17th in Final ITA National Poll; Barrow and Brogan Rank Ninth in Doubles

 The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team ranked 17th in the final Intercollegiate Tennia Association's national Division III poll, released Tuesday. Seniors Ashley Barrow and Kait Brogan were ranked ninth in the nation in doubles, and Brogan was ranked 40th in singles.

The Eagles, with a record of 20-5, advanced to the NCAA Tournament third round. The Eagles finished with 20 wins for the third straight year, and won the CAC Championship for the 15th straight year. They have advanced to at least the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the past 12 years.

Brogan and Barrow, who advanced to the NCAA Championship tournament, finished ranked ninth in doubles nationally. Brogan was 40th in singles, wrapping up her stellar four-year career for the Eagles.
