#14 UMW Women's Tennis Tops York, 5-0, in CAC Semifinal

The 14th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept York College of Pa., 5-0, on Wednesday in the semifinal round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. The Eagles improve to 18-5 on the year, and will host the CAC Championship on Saturday.

The Eagles opened with all three points in doubles, as Kait Brogan and Taylor Diffley defeated Katie Wagner and Darrian Naill, 8-0, at one, Ashley Barrow and Rachel Summers won, 8-0, over Rachel Wagner and McKenzie Kroutt, at two, and Caroline Mosberg and Danielle Mirabella won at three, 8-2, over C. Vaughn and Maisle Supp.

In singles, UMW gained the first two points as Hannah Jabush defeated Supp at five, 6-0, 6-1, and Mirabella won at six, 6-0, 6-0, over Gina Liguori.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newport University on Saturday. Match time will be at 11:30 a.m.
