#15 UMW Women's Tennis Tops CNU, 7-2, on Saturday

The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Capital Athletic Conference foe Christopher Newport, 7-2, on Saturday in Newport News, Va. The Eagles improve to 10-3 on the season and 2-0 in CAC play.

In doubles, the Eagles gained wins from Ashley Barrow and Rachel Summers at two, 8-6, and from Caroline Mosberg and Danielle Mirabella, 9-8(1), to enter singles with a 2-1 advantage.

Mosberg quickly gained a 6-1, 6-1 win at three, while Summers finished shortly after, winning 6-0, 6-2 at four. Brogan followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at one and Hannah Jabusch took a 6-4, 6-4 win at five. Mirabella won 6-3, 6-4 for the Eagles' seventh point.

UMW will be back in action next Saturday as they host Southern Virginia and TCNJ.
