The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated 24th ranked Redlands, 6-3, on Saturday in California. The Eagles improve to 6-3 on the season.
In doubles, the Eagles gained wins from Kait Brogan and Taylor Diffley at one, 8-6, and from Ashley Barrow and Rachel Summers, 8-4, to enter singles with a 2-1 advantage.
In singles, Diffley won at two, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2; Summers won at four, 6-0, 6-2; Hannah Jabusch won at five, 6-1, 6-2; and Danielle Mirabella won at six, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they face Skidmore College at 6 p.m. as part of the Blue Grey Invitational.
