#18 UMW Women's Tennis Falls at #1 Pomona-Pitzer, 9-0

The 18th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at top-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Saturday afternoon in Pomona, California. The Eagles slip to 4-2 on the season.

In doubles, the Sage Hens won all three matches by 8-1 scores. Mackenzie Smith and Taylor Diffley played at one, Caroline Mosberg and Sara Fioretti played at two, and Chrissy Gaul and Alina Suyama played at three.

In singles, Kait Brogan fell at one, 6-2, 6-2, Caroline Mosberg fell at two, 6-0, 6-1, and Gaul fell at three, 6-0, 6-0. At four, Diffley dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision; at five, Smith fell, 7-6, 6-2. Daniele Mirabella fell at six, 7-5, 6-1.

The Eagles will be back in action next Sunday when they host UT-Dallas at 12:30 and York College at 3:30 p.m.
