University of Mary Washington senior Shelby Harris and sophomore Kait Brogan defeated Jillian Wallace and Alicia Beck of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 6-1, 6-1, in the first round of the ITA Small College National Championships on Thursday in Sumter, S.C. The Eagles will advance to the semifinal round on Friday at 1:00 p.m. against the winner from either Emory or Trinity (TX).
That winner will play in the finals on Friday at 5:00 p.m., and the winner of the Division III final will play in the small college world series on Saturday against winners from Division II, NAIA, and JUCO representatives.
