#20 UMW Women's Tennis Falls at #6 Carnegie Mellon, 8-1, on Saturday

The 20th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at #6 Carnegie Mellon University on Saqturday morning in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Eagles slip to 11-6 on the year.

After the Tartans took all three doubles matches, the Eagles extended four singles matches to three sets before falling. Freshman Kait Brogan scored UMW's point at five singles with a 7-5, 6-2 win. Alex Ritter, Caroline Mosberg, Chrissy Gaul, and Mackenzie Smith all extended their matches to three sets.

The Eagles will host Salisbury University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Capital Athletic Conference action as part of the Spring Jubilee.
