#20 UMW Women's Tennis Sweeps York, Penn State Harrisburg on Friday

The 20th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept Capital Athletic Conference foes York College and Penn State Harrisburg on Friday on the road in Pennsylvania. The Eagles improve to 11-5 on the season.

Caroline Mosberg and Mackenzie Smith won at one doubles against the Spartans, 8-0, while Shelby Harris and Ashley Price won 8-1 at two. Alex Ritter and Paige Weinberg won at three, 8-1.

In singles, the Eagles swept six pro sets, with Harris inning at one, Ritter at two, Smith at three, Hannah Jabusch at four, Price at five, and Weinberg at six.

The Eagles then topped Penn State Harrisburg in the late afternoon, 9-0. Alina Suyama and Chrissy Gaul won at one doubles, 8-2, and Michaela Dowd and Berri Flood won at two and Jabusch and Brittany McBride won at three by 8-0 scores.

In singles, Harris won at one, Mosberg at two, Gaul at three, Kait Brogan at four, Flood at five, and McBride at six, all in straight sets.

The Eagles will visit sixth ranked Carnegie Mellon University on Sturday at 10 a.m.
