The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team won two of three doubles matches, and five of six singles matches, in a 7-2 win at #38 Whittier College on Monday in Claremont, Cal. The Eagles improve to 4-1 on the season.

UMW won a pair of convincing doubles matches, 8-1 and 8-1, as Mackenzie Smith and Alex Ritter won at two, and Alina Suyama and Kait Brogan won at three.

In singles, the Eagles swept two through six singles. Ritter won at two, 6-2, 6-4; Caroline Mosberg won at three, 6-4, 6-4; Chrissy Gaul won at four, 6-1, 6-1; Brogan won at five, 6-0, 6-2; and Smith won at six, 6-0, 6-0.

The Eagles will face Chapman University on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
