The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team opened the season by hosting the UMW Kickoff Classic this weekend.
The Eagles finished the weekend with seven doubles wins, and ten singles wins. Chrissy Gaul led the way with three singles wins. Number one Shelby Harris won a pair of matches, as did Paige Weinberg and Kait Brogan.
The Eagles will host the ITA Regional Championships at UMW next weekend.
