Claremont, Ca.-- The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team lost to Pomona-Pitzer, 8-1 in California. The Eagles got their lone point from Lindsay Raulston at one singles. The loss moves UMW to 3-2 on the year.
The Sagehens won all three doubles matches to start off the match, to take an early 3-0 lead.
UMW got their lone point of the afternoon with a win at one singles. Lindsay Raulston defeated Sammy Chao in three sets; 6-4, 3-6, 12-10 in a thriller. Pomona-Pitzer did not drop a set in the other five singles matches to win 8-1.
The Eagles will finish their California road swing with a match at #13 Redlands tomorrow, March 8th beginning at 1:00 p.m.
