Women's Tennis Earns National Ranking in the ITA Preseason Polls

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team earned a national ranking this week in the recent ITA Preseason Polls. The Eagles ranked 21st in the poll, and are the lone Capital Athletic Confernce member in the national poll.

Regionally, the Eagles were placed 5th, behind Emory, Johns Hopkins, Carneige Mellon and University of the South. Fellow CAC members Salisbury (7th) and Christopher Newport (12th) also made the list.

Eagle sophomore Shelby Harris earned a singles top 25 ranking of 19th. Harris and doubles partner Lindsay Raulston earned a 9th place ranking out of the top 14 doubles pairs.

The Eagles return to action on February 15th-16th, when they host the UMW Quad against CNU, Methodist and Roanoke.
