#13 UMW Women's Tennis Tops #24 Skidmore, 5-4

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team, ranked 13th nationally, defeated \#24 Skidmore College, 5-4, on Saturday at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 7-6 on the season.

Mary Washington saw Courtney Goimarac and Katie Schafer win at one doubles, 9-8, and Michelle MNeadows and Megan Lawlor win at two, 8-5, to take the lead into singles. Goimarac won at one in straight sets, as did Meadows, setting up Cassie Bowman's three set win at five singles as the clincher.

The Eagles will host Oberlin College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the UMW Tennis Complex.
