UMW's Goimarac Named CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior EVAN THOMAS (Salisbury, Md./Faith Baptist), Mary Washington junior COURTNEY GOIMARAC (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), Salisbury junior ANGELA TENAGLIA (Clarksville, Md./Reservoir), Hood senior WILLIAM ANDREWS (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and York sophomore MEGAN VERDE (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) were selected as the CAC Tennis Players of the Week for Mar. 16, 2010.


WOMEN’S TENNIS
Mary Washington junior COURTNEY GOIMARAC (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) and Salisbury junior ANGELA TENAGLIA (Clarksville, Md./Reservoir) were named the CAC Women’s Tennis Co-Players of the Week after helping their respective teams to perfect weeks.
Goimarac led 13th-ranked UMW to a 7-2 win at Swarthmore by defeating the 25th-ranked singles player in the country in three sets at the No. 1 position.
Tenaglia went 4-0 last week, posting straight-sets singles wins against CAC rival York and in a victory over Swarthmore. She also teamed with Elaina Iosue to post 8-1 doubles victories against both opponents.
