Grace Gartman begins her first season with UMW Men’s and Women’s Swimming program as an Assistant Coach. After spending last year with the team as a volunteer assistant. During this time she helped with multiple meets and contributed to winning the Metropolitan Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference Championship for the women’s side.

She graduated in 2021 from UMW, returning to her alma mater with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Sports Management. As a student-athlete in Division III, Gartman competed as a sprint freestyler specialist. With five first team ALL-CAC in relays, one second team ALL-CAC in a relay, and one second team ALL-CAC in the 50 free. She contributed to the 28th, 29th, and 30th consecutive CAC Conference Titles during her time at UMW.

After graduation she worked at a Physical Therapy office as a PT Aide for a year. As well as being an Assistant Swim Coach for “Virginia Run Riptide” in Northern Virginia Swimming League this past summer.
