Mary Washington Women's Swim Victorious on Senior Day

The Mary Washington women's swim team had little trouble with Frostburg State on Senior Day in Fredericksburg, Va. on Saturday afternoon. The women took down the Bobcats, 165-97, to cap off their dual meet season.

Highlights

200-yard medlay relay: The meet started out with a bang when Phoebe Root, Bridget Zagrobelny, Bri Wilson and Margie Jones (1:50.90) took home first place.

1650-yard freestyle: Ashley Dyer finished second in the 1650 yard freestyle, while Marina Klein finished third.

200-yard freestyle: Zagrobelney took home the gold in the women's 200-yard freestyle (2:00.91), while Ann Karr finished in third.

100-yard backstroke: Root placed first with a final time of 1:00.76.

100-yard breaststroke: Kinsey Brooks finished first (1:07.75), while Peyton Lawrence placed third.

200-yard butterfly: Wilson took home the silver, while Rose McMullen on her Senior Day.

50-yard freestyle: Jones took home first place (25.60).

100-yard freestyle: Brooks placed first once again (55.62), while Jones finished in a close third.

200-yard backstroke: Delaney Humphrey finished second, while April Groce was a second behind in third.

200-yard breaststrokeZagrobelny finished first for the third time (2:27.14), while Juliana Bleecker placed third.

500-yard freestyle: Dyer finished first (5:27.85), while Karr placed second.

100-yard butterfly: Wilson took home the gold (1:00.66), while McMullen placed third.

200-yard IM: Brooks won her third event of the day (2:12.51), while outtouching Zagrobelny by 0.15 seconds, who finished second.
