UMW Women's Swimming in 2nd After Day One at F&M

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team stands in second place after day one at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational.

The Eagles saw the 200 yard medley relay of Kinsey Brooks, Sydney Hall, Thalia Costanza, and Anna Watson finish second at 1:35.79, and the Eagles saw six swimmers advance to swimmers advance to finals, with Ingrid Dizon finishing second at 25.95. 

Ashley Dyer was second in the 500 freestyle at 5:11.32, and Brooks won the 200 yard IM at 2:03.50, setting a new meet record. Costanza tied for fourth in the 50 free at 24.33, and the 400 free relay of Phoebe Root, Brooks, Margie Jones, and Costanza finished first at 3:52.66.

The meet will continue on Saturday.
