UMW Women's Swimming Holds in 2nd at F&M Invite on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team strengthened its grip on second place at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Saturday. The Eagles, with 933 points, are 255.5 points ahead of third place Mount St. Mary's, and 124.5 behind first place F&M.

On Saturday, Grace Nicolai finished third in the 400 yard IM at 4:40.80, Erin Whitesell finished third in the 100 yard butterfly at 57.15, and Julia Geskey finished second in the 200 yard freestyle at 1:56.07. Mary Zagrobelny took second in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:06.32, Carley Vaughn finished fifth in the 100 backstroke at 59.22, and the 200 yard medley relay of Vaughn, Zagrobelny, Whitesell, and Thalia Costanza took second at 1:47.09.

The meet will conclude on Sunday.
