UMW Women’s Swimming Falls at Roanoke, 184-78, on Saturday Evening

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming fell to Roanoke College, 184-78, on Saturday evening in Salem, VA. Roanoke used this meet as their shave, taper, and suit meet. The Eagles slip to 3-2 on the season.

Since it was the shave, taper, and suit meet for the Maroons, they shaved many seconds off of their times for the meet. Claudia Keller took a second place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle and also took third in the 100 yard backstroke. Mary Zagrobelny finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke and third in the 200 yard breaststroke.

Erin Whitesell came in second place in both the 200 yard butterfly and the 100 yard butterfly. Jenny Thompson finished in second place in both the 200 yard backstroke and 400 yard IM.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday as they will host St. Mary's at 1 p.m.
