UMW Unanimously Picked to Win 30th Straight CAC Women's Swimming Championship

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Mary Washington was once again the unanimous choice among conference head coaches to collect CAC hardware in the 2019-20 CAC Women's Swimming Preseason Poll. The Eagles enter this season riding a 29-year winning streak atop the conference, and are the only team across all CAC sports to have won the team title in each of the 29 years of the CAC's existence.

The Eagles nabbed four first-place nods and totaled 16 points to secure top billing in the poll. York claimed the other first-place vote and finished second in the poll with 13 points. St. Mary's was picked to finish third with nine points, narrowly edging fourth-place Frostburg State (8 points). Salisbury rounded out the poll in fifth with four points.

The 2019-20 season is underway for the majority of CAC squads. The season will culminate with the 2020 CAC Championship meet, set for Feb. 12-15 at St. Mary's.
