UMW Women's Swimmers Remain in 2nd Place After Day Two at F&M Invite

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team remained in second place among 14 schools at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Saturday in Lancaster, Pa.

Freshman Grace Nicolai finished in third place in the 400 IM at 4:39.39, and junior Julia Geskey followed in fifth place at 4:40.49. Callie Dunham was sixth and Mary Zagrobelny seventh. Carley Vaughn tied for third in the 100 yard butterfly at 58.26, and Zagrobelny took second in the 200 yard breastroke at 2:25.79. Vaughn was fourth in the 100 backstroke at 59.69, and the 800 free relay of Geskey, Claudia Keller, Grace Gartman, and Macey Lynch finished fifth at 8:03.63. The Eagles took second in the 200 medley relay, as Vaughn, Zagrobelny, Erin Whitesell, and Sydney Hall finished at 1:47.89.

The meet will conclude on Sunday.
