UMW Women's Swimming Tops Randolph-Macon, 182-80, on Friday Night

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team made its home debut on Friday night with a 182-80 win over Randolph-Macon College at Goolrick Natatorium.

The Eagles opened with a win from the 200 medley relay of Carley Vaughn, Mary Zagrobelny, Megan Murphy, and Grace Gartman at 1:50.33. Gartman won the 200 freestyle at 2:03.17, Julia Geskey won the 100 backstroke at 1:00.34 and the 200 backstroke at 2:13.83, and Megan Carney won the 100 breaststroke at 1:10.13 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:33.56.

Vaughn won the 200 butterfly at 2:13.10 and the 200 IM at 2:16.71, Murphy won the 50 free at 25.23, as well as the 100 free at 54.87, Claudia Keller won the 500 free at 5:17.75. The 200 free relay of Vaughn, Melissa Autry, Gartman, and Murphy won at 1:43.82.
