UMW Women's Swimmers Top Gettysburg, 147-115, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated Gettysburg College, 147-115, on Saturday in Gettysburg, Pa., to improve to 7-1 on the season.

The Eagles saw victories from the 200 yard medley relay of Julia Geskey, Anna Corley, Carley Vaughn, and Shannon Coryell at 1:51.38, Geskey in the 1000 freestyle at 10:59.61, Vaughn in the 100 backstroke at 1:00.28, with Maddy Rymer taking second at 1:01.83, and Megan Murphy in the 200 fly at 2:12.58, with Madison Noga placing second.

Corley won the 50 free at 24.99 with Coryell taking second at 25.11. Geskey came back to win the 200 backstroke at 2:12.04, with Taylor Mooney taking second, and Murphy won the 500 free at 5:22.34. Coryell won the 100 fly at 1:00.48, with Vaughn taking second and Noga placing third. Corley won the 200 IM at 2:08.53.

The Eagles will return to action on January 28 when they host York College at 1 p.m.
