UMW Women's Swimmers Top Marymount, 192-69, in Saturday Dual Meet

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated Marymount University, 192-69, on Saturday at Goolrick Natatorium in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Eagles improve to 6-0 on the season.

The Eagles staretd the meet with a win from the 200 yard medley relay team of Katie Fago, Anna Corley, Shannon Coryell, and Stephanie Hallock, who finished with a time of 1:50.45. Individual event winners included Ashley Walnut in the 1000 freestyle at 11:07.74, Megan Murphy in the 200 freestyle at 1:57.74 and the 200 breaststroke at 2:34.58, Fago in the 100 backstroke at 1:00.36, Hannah Hagy in the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.10, Coryell in the 200 butterfly at 2:17.60 and the 100 butterfly at 59.88, Hallock in the 50 freestyle at 24.79, Emily Adams in the 100 freestyle at 54.70, Corley in the 200 backstroke at 2:09.91, Abby Cox in the 500 freestyle at 5:23.04 and 200 IM at 2:14.50.

The 200 free relay of Coryell, Hagy,Fago, and Hallock finished first at 1:39.57.

The Eagles will be back in action on December 4-5 when they will compete in the Gettysburg College Invitational.
