UMW Women's Swimmers Place Second at Gettysburg Invite

FULL RESULTS

The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team finished in second place at the Gettysburg College Invitational, finishing with 845 points.

Winners for the Eagles included Anna Corley in the 200 backstroke at 2:06.12, Stephanie Hallock in the 100 freestyle at 53.48, and Ashley Walnut won the 1650 free at 18:06.81, followed by Maddie Carinci in second at 18:19.46.

Abby Cox won the 400 IM at 4:35.25, followed by Megan Murphy in second at 4:41.06. The Eagles won the 800 free relay at 7:53.77, consisting of Murphy, Robin Brazier, Cox, and Corley, and also took second, as Walnut, Morgan Miller, Alex Parrish, and Kris Currie finished at 8:07.11.

Hannah Hagy, Maddy Rymer, Lauren Wood, and Hallock took first in the 200 free relay at 1:39.16. Corley won the 200 IM at 2:08.05, followed by Brazier at 2:12.11. Hallock won the 50 free at 24.65, followed by Wood in second at 24.94, and Hagy third at 25.09.

The Eagles will return to action on January 10 at 1 pm against Salisbury University.
