The UMW women's swimming team defeated Catholic university, 165.5-96.5, on Saturday at Goolrick Natatorium.

Winners for the Eagles included Ashley Walnut in the 1000 freestyle at 11:29.35; Megan Murphy in the 200 freestyle at 2:00.75; Robin Brazier in the 100 backstroke at 1:02.25 and the 200 backstroke at 2:14.54; Hannah Hagy in the 100 breaststroke at 1:10.52; Abby Cox in the 200 yard butterfly at 2:18.94; Shannon Coryell in the 50 freestyle at 25.63 and 100 freestyle at 55.36; Alex Parrish in the 200 breaststroke at 2:33.77; and Anna Corley in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:02.08 and the 200 IM at 2:15.05.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they visit the College of William and Mary at 5:00 p.m.
