A Trio of Eagles Prepare for NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships This Week

Three University of Mary Washington swimmers will head to Indianapolis for the four day NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Championships kick off with trials at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 19th from the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI. Jessica Singer and Amber Kerico will represent the Eagle women, while Alex Anderson will look to repeat as NCAA champion in the 400 IM for the Eagle men.

Anderson will also compete in the 200 IM and 200 Fly. He currently is seeded second in the 200 IM, just two tenths behind number one, and number one in the 200 fly.

Each of the four days will consist of trials in the morning, with the finals of the races in the evening. The schedule below is when the Eagle swimmers will compete:

Wednesday, March 19th:

Singer- 500 free

Anderson- 200 IM

 

Thursday, March 20th:

Singer- 200 free

Kerico- 100 fly

Anderson- 400 IM

 

Friday, March 21st:

Kerico- 100 breast

Anderson- 200 fly

 

Saturday, March 22nd:

Kerico- 200 breast

Singer- 1650 free
