Repeat Offenders: UMW Women's Swimming Wins the CAC Championships on Sunday

St. Mary's, Md.-- The UMW women's swim team won the CAC Championships on Sunday, scoring over 1000 points for the second consecutive year. 

The Eagles took the sole relay of the day in the 400 free relay. Shannon Coryell, Steph Hallock, Jessica Singer, and Tara Banks won with a time of 3:33.59.

UMW started the meet going 1-2-3 in the 1650 free. Singer took gold with a time of 17:14.58. Maddie Carinci (17:49.12) and Ashley Walnut (17:55.31) rounded out the top three. The Eagles swept the top three in the very next event, the 200 back. Catherine Perrin (2:06.72), Anna Corley (2:08.40), and Robin Brazier (2:10.29) went 1-2-3. Hallock picked up an individual gold in the 100 free. Hallock went 52.92, while Banks finished in second just one one-hundreth of a second behind Hallock. Amber Kerico won the 200 breast with a time of 2:20.01, with Mary-Patrick Bailey finished third. Abby Cox rounded out the Eagle winners in the 200 fly. Cox finished in 2:11.89.
