Eagles Soar on Senior Day Past St. Mary's (Md.), 132-72, on Saturday

Fredericksburg, Va.-- The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated St. Mary's (Md.) 132-72 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles won both relays and six individual races to take the victory. The win moves the Eagles to 6-1, 3-0 in CAC play this year. 

The Eagles won the bookend relays of the meet in the 200 Medley and 200 Free Relays. The team of Katie Fago, Amber Kerico, Hannah Hagy and Steph Hallock took first place in the 200 Medley Relay in a time of 1:51.11. The quartet of Hallock, Riley Scalzo, Fago, and Kerico teamed up to win the 200 Free Relay in a time of 1:43.14.

Jessica Singer won the 1000 Free on senior day for the Eagles. The senior won with a time of 10:56.16. Fellow seniors Elizabeth Lewan and Amber Kerico won individual races on the day. Lewan won the 50 Free in a time of 25.76, while Kerico won the 200 Breast with a time of 2:28.59.

Other Eagles winners included Steph Hallock in the 200 Free (2:01.85), Abby Cox in the 200 IM (2:15.80) and Shannon Coryell in the 100 Free (54.70).

The Eagles return to the pool next Saturday, January 25th, when they head to Gettysburg for a meet at 1:00 p.m.
