UMW Women's Soccer Dominates; Tops Bryn Mawr, 4-0

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team toppled over Bryn Mawr College in a 4-0 game on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finalize their season record at 10-4-4 on the season, which is the first 10-win season since 2019. Eagles freshman midfielder Madison Bauserman put the first tally on the board at 25:29, with Savannah Alexander notching the second goal of the first half off the feed from forward Macey Wissell at 31:53. The Eagles kept the offense coming after halftime with a paif of goals by freshman forward Kaitlyn Venzen at 46:30 and 47:06 - the second goal being assisted by senior forward Amanda Krest.

UMW had a commanding lead in shots, 28-5, as well as corner kicks 5-1. One yellow card was given to UMW senior defenseman Shelby De Jong at 67:37. The Eagles goalies went through a full cycle as senior goalie Ally Holden made three saves in one half of play, freshman Adriana Thompson made one save in 22:22, sophomore Morgan Hicok made one save in 16:16, and senior Caroline Sheusi held the Owls scoreless in the last 6:22 of play.

The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday, November 3, when they travel to Christopher Newport University for the first round of the C2C Tournament.
