UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Salisbury in OT on Wednesday, 1-0

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Salisbury University on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Eagles slip to 6-10 overall and 3-5 in CAC play.

The teams battled through a scoreless 90 minute regulation. The Eagles held a 15-9 shot advantage in the first 90 minutes, but neither team would find the net.

Salisbury found the game winner with 4:43 elapsed in the extra period.

Mary Washington led in shots, 16-11, while Salisbury led in corner kicks, 7-4. UMW goalkeeper Allison Nork made five saves for the Eagles, while Salisbury's Emma Hill had nine stops.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they visit St. Mary's College at 4:30 p.m.
