UMW Women’s Soccer Falls at York, 1-0, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team fell at York College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon in York, PA. The Eagles slip to 5-8 on the season and 2-3 in the CAC. 

UMW came out in the first half and recorded five shots, all on frame but were saved away by the Spartans goalkeeper. The two teams went into the half with the score 0-0.

York got on the board in the second half just five minutes in to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles tried to put one in the back of the net as they had 10 shots, but came up just short.

UMW outshot York 15-4 and had seven corner kicks on the day. Allison Van Nork made two saves in goal.

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday as they will host Southern Virginia at 4 p.m.
