UMW Women's Soccer Falls at St. Mary's, 3-0, in CAC Tournament 1st Round

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at St. Mary's College on Saturday in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. The Eagles fall to 8-10-1 on the season.

The first half saw plenty of action, as the teams combined for 10 shots. The only attempt that found its mark was from St. Mary's' Emmey German, who scored on a Kat Golladay assist at 7:44. The score stood at 1-0 at halftime.

In the second, The Seahawks added an insurance tally at 79:57 on a Golladay score, and St. Mary's added another at 83:27 on a goal from Haley Bullis.

St. Mary's led in shots, 11-7, and in corner kicks, 5-0. UMW goalkeeper Haley Randall had five saves, while Sydney Larkin had two for SMCM. St. Mary's will advance to the CAC semifinals at Christopher Newport on Wednesday. The Eagles close with a record of 8-10-1 overall.
