UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Frostburg, 1-0, on Wednesday Night

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Frostburg State University on Wednesday night. The Eagles move to 5-7, and 1-2 in the conference, while the Bobcats move to 3-6-2, and 2-0-1.

Both teams had many opportunities throughout the game with the Bobcats having a slight lead on shots at 13-12. Frostburg State was able to capitalize on one of those opportunities with only 6:37 left in the game on a header from Mackenzie Harwood off a corner kick from Brooke Shehade. The Eagles had a chance to tie it up with 5:06 left, but one shot was saved and another sailed high.

UMW goalkeeper Haley Randall made five saves, while Emily Faust made seven saves in goal for the Bobcats.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to York College (PA.). Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m.
