UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Shenandoah on Tuesday Night

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team fell to Shenandoah University, 2-0, on Tuesday night at Sprint Field. The Eagles slip to 5-5 on the season.

The Hornets jumped in front, 1-0, at 35:42 as Rebecca Collimore scored on an Emily Yergin assist. Mary Washington outshot Shenandoah 5-4 in the first half, while Shenandoah held a 2-1 corner kick edge. 

In the second half, Liz Keefer scored on an assist from Rebecca Collimore at 47:20 to give Shenandoah a 2-0 lead. The Eagles were assessed a red card at 53:54, twarting a comeback attempt. 

The Hornets led in shots on the night, 10-7. Both teams produced three corner kicks. Junior goalkeeper Haley Randall made three saves in goal for Mary Washington. 

The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday when they host Salisbury at 1:00 p.m.
