UMW Women's Soccer Battles Frostburg to Scoreless Tie in CAC Championship Rematch

In a rematch from last season's Capital Athletic Conference Championship, the University of Mary Washington women's soccer team tied Frostburg State University, 0-0, through double overtime on Wednesday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles move to 9-6-1 on the season, and 4-2-1 in CAC play.

Both teams were able to provide some offense, but neither was able to find the nets, as Frostburg led in shots, 14-13, while the Eagles led in corner kicks, 6-4. Freshman goalkeeper Haley Randall had four saves for Mary Washington.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they host Salisbury University at 1:00 p.m. for Homecoming, in another key CAC showdown.
