YORK, Pa. -- St. Mary's senior Lexy McCarty and Mary Washington senior Charlotte Owens were selected as the CAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week for Sept. 8, 2014.

St. Mary's senior Lexy McCarty was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Seahawks to their first two wins of the year and the Crusader Cup Tournament title with a pair of game-winning goals. With less than five minutes remaining against host Alvernia, McCarty dribbled past a few defenders before finding the back of the net to lift the Seahawks into the title game. Then against regionally-ranked Bridgewater, she finished off a corner kick for her second straight game-winner late in the second half.

Mary Washington senior Charlotte Owens earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after posting a 3-0 record with two shutouts last week. Owens registered five saves and allowed just one goal, tallying a .833 save percentage for the week.
